Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of HVAC and Plumbing design experience. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a growing local Mechanical team while also collaborating with a national network of professionals.
In this role, you will provide senior-level engineering and design leadership, lead impactful projects, and serve as a key representative of the Mechanical discipline during client engagements. If you're a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys mentoring teams, driving high-quality design, and working on cutting-edge projects across Multi-Family Housing, Commercial, and Government sectors—this is a role where you can truly make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanical engineers and designers
Develop and manage project work plans
Lead system selections, basis of design, and ensure quality of work product
Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members
Represent the Mechanical discipline in client meetings and communicate effectively with clients
Coordinate mechanical/plumbing design with other project disciplines and the Project Manager
Support construction phases including submittal reviews and RFI responses
Maintain and develop mechanical/plumbing standards with senior engineering staff
Assist the Mechanical Director with work product quality control
Act as a senior resource, providing guidance across HVAC and plumbing design
Collaborate openly and professionally to resolve challenges and enhance design outcomes
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of focused mechanical/plumbing design experience
Mechanical Engineering Professional (PE) license a plus
Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Trane Trace load calculation software
Strong ability to present information and confidently respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public
