Job Summary/Company:

Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of innovative mechanical systems supporting advanced technology programs. This role offers a balance of technical leadership and hands-on engineering, with responsibility for guiding products from early development through manufacturing and long-term support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a growing organization, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and has experience collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams. Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, integration, and support of complex mechanical systems throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Drive engineering best practices by overseeing design reviews, configuration management, engineering changes, and system-level technical evaluations.
  • Partner with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges, improve product performance, and support successful program execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) with 7+ years of experience leading mechanical engineering projects in a product development environment.
  • Strong background in 3D CAD (such as Creo or SolidWorks), GD&T, mechanical design, and transitioning products from prototype through manufacturing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance; previous experience supporting regulated, aerospace, or defense programs is highly preferred.

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Salary $160,000.00 to $200,000.00
