Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems and components throughout the entire product lifecycle. Collaborating closely with electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams, this individual will lead mechanical engineering efforts from concept through production while ensuring products meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for new and existing products.
  • Create and maintain detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct engineering analyses including tolerance studies, structural assessments, DFMEA, DFM, and DFA evaluations to optimise product performance.
  • Support prototype development, testing, validation activities, and product launches while driving design improvements based on test results.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and compliant with applicable standards.

Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong product development background and a passion for innovation. They will possess excellent technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative R&D environment while taking ownership of complex engineering projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software and experience developing products through the full design and development lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering analysis methods.
  • Proven ability to execute prototype testing, analyse technical data, and implement design improvements.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
