Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear
Location: Remote (U.S., excluding West Coast) or Hybrid in Naperville or Atlanta

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support commercial nuclear engineering projects. This opportunity is with a leading engineering services organization supporting nuclear power plant design and modifications.
Job Duties:
Design and modify critical mechanical components to meet strict engineering specifications.
Lead technical reviews of calculations and design deliverables.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship within project teams.
Participate in detailed technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
Support engineering analysis, documentation, and compliance activities.
Travel occasionally to client or project locations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
7+ years of progressively responsible experience in commercial nuclear engineering.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, nuclear design codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work remotely or in a hybrid schedule if located near Naperville, IL or Atlanta, GA.
