Job name: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: San Francisco or New York, on-site
Profile: Senior Consultant | C2
Skillset required:
" Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar
" 5 years primarily in consumer electronics and similar products
" Advanced solid/surface modeling, SolidWorks preferred
" DFM/DFA across injection molding, sheet metal stamping, machining, and casting
" Vendor-ready documentation: 3D CAD, 2D drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions
" Prototyping (3D printing, casting, rapid tooling) plus hands-on electronics/firmware prototyping
" Confident client-facing presentation and storytelling
Roles and Responsibilities:
" Owns mechanical engineering activities autonomously across interdisciplinary projects, from concept through design-for-manufacturability to production
" Leads client conversations within their domain, framing trade-offs to guide client choices
" Mentors junior engineers and contributes to the global engineering community of practice
" Opportunity to lead small project teams and contribute to business development (proposals, pitches)
