We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate and launch robotic End Effectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanism design and integration. This candidate must have the ability to work well both independently and in a multidisciplinary team setting. Key job responsibilities - Author functional requirements, design verification plans and test procedures - Execute product designs which meet the requirements - Build and test mechanical subsystem prototypes and integrated systems - Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments - Work efficiently to support rapid schedules Basic Qualifications - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - 10+ years of experience designing and integrating mechanisms into robotics systems - Expert in wire rope, dyneema, 4-bar linkage, and hydrostatic transmissions - Deep understanding of mechanical efficiency, inertia, compliance, etc - Deep understanding of component capacities and life estimation given highly variable operating trajectories - Hands on experience building prototypes and debugging subsystems Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Experience with the project management of technical projects - Experience with transmission design for robot end-effectors/grippers - Demonstrated experience collaborating with Electrical and Controls engineers - Proficiency documenting designs in accordance with ANSI Y-14.5 - Experience designing and debugging tooled (sheetmetal, cast, injection molded, etc) components - Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the program - Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECO's Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
