ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Our advanced nuclear client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will prepare and review design specifications and design reports in accordance with ASME Section III requirements.
Design, analyze, and document ASME Section III Class NF structural supports (frames, brackets, hangers, and other support elements)
Develop and maintain design specifications, calculations, load evaluations, and qualification reports in compliance with nuclear codes and standards.
Interface with quality teams, third-party reviewers, and regulatory bodies.
Maintain knowledge of ASME Section III revisions, NRC guidance, and industry standards.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
8 years of experience in nuclear equipment/mechanical design.
Experience with DFM/DFA.
Understanding of structural and seismic design.
Experience with FEA, mechanical analysis methods, and commercial mechanical stress analysis tools with an emphasis on ANSYS.
Familiarity with CAD programs.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of ASME Section III
SolidWorks experience.
ANSYS experience.
