What You'll Do

 

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary engineering projects while serving as the primary mechanical engineering resource for refinery and industrial clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering activities on refinery and industrial projects
  • Design and review process piping systems (ASME B31.1 & B31.3)
  • Prepare engineering calculations and code compliance documentation
  • Develop equipment specifications and data sheets
  • Review pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment
  • Lead mechanical design reviews and quality assurance activities
  • Coordinate with piping, structural, electrical, civil, and process engineering teams
  • Support procurement by preparing bid packages and evaluating vendor proposals
  • Participate in field walkdowns, construction support, and startup activities
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
  • Interface directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, chemical processing, or heavy industrial experience
  • Experience leading engineering deliverables on capital projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and process piping systems

Work Arrangements

Washington Candidates

  • Hybrid schedule
  • 3 days/week in the Ferndale office
  • 2 days remote

Utah Candidates

  • Primarily remote
  • Salt Lake City area preferred

$115,000 - $145,000 a year
