Position Summary
The Senior Mechanical Engineer develops and leads product development projects of significant importance to the organization. In addition to technical implementation, this role provides project management, financial reporting, and timeline oversight. As a senior resource, you will manage design configurations and develop complex electro-mechanical systems from concept through transition to production.
Duties
Provide high level mechanical engineering services and develop system architectures for new products and integrated autonomous systems.
Lead project management efforts from concept to completion, including scope approval, budget tracking, and schedule management.
Develop, test, and qualify advanced motors and sensors, incorporating them into next generation defense products.
Manage design configurations using digital data vaults and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality environments.
Requirements
Requirements
B.S. Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, and/or Systems Engineering.
Defense manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong design experience with SolidWorks and Creo preferred.
