Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager in the Greater Honolulu, Hawaii area to lead complex commercial mechanical construction projects across hospital, school, high-rise, and mixed-use sectors from award through successful closeout.
Impact
- Deliver plumbing, piping, and HVAC scopes on schedule and within budget across a diverse portfolio of commercial and institutional projects
- Strengthen owner and subcontractor relationships on technically demanding projects including healthcare and high-rise construction
- Protect project margins by identifying cost and schedule risks early and resolving them before they escalate
- Mentor junior project engineers and contribute to a culture of accountability and technical excellence
Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle including buyout, scheduling, billing, change orders, and closeout for plumbing, piping, and HVAC scopes
- Coordinate daily with field superintendents to align operations with project milestones and quality standards
- Prepare, track, and resolve submittals, RFIs, and change order documentation using Procore and Viewpoint
- Produce and maintain accurate cost projections and budget reports throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead owner, subcontractor, and internal project meetings to communicate progress and resolve open items
- Review mechanical drawings and specifications in Bluebeam to confirm scope compliance and constructability
- Oversee procurement and material delivery schedules to prevent field delays
- Support preconstruction efforts including scope review, subcontractor leveling, and bid analysis
Requirements
Must-Haves
- 7 or more years of experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects including plumbing, piping, or HVAC
- Demonstrated experience on hospital, school, or high-rise project types
- Proficiency with Procore, Viewpoint or Prologue, and Bluebeam
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, and change order processe
