Position Overview
We are seeking a Billing Specialist who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about improving healthcare behind the scenes. You’ll ensure timely, accurate reimbursement and help patients access life-changing treatments without unnecessary financial stress.
What You'll Do
- Submit and manage claims for biologic infusions and other services
- Post payments, reconcile patient accounts, and interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
- Resolve denials and unpaid claims with precision and urgency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with intake, clinical, and supervisory teams
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients—professionally and empathetically
- Identify process gaps and help drive continuous improvement
- Share knowledge openly—no gatekeeping here
What You Bring
- 5+ years of medical billing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of EHR/EMR, clearinghouses, and payment workflows
- Understanding of specialty billing and biologic reimbursement
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A growth mindset—excited to learn and teach
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with infusion billing or AMD platforms
- Coding certifications (CPC, CCA, CCS, etc.)
- Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills
- Familiarity with specialty pharmacy workflows
