    Job Description

    Schedule: Full time 40 hours/week on weekdays primarily day shift with some evening coverage.

    This role will be supporting the Breakthrough program in Anchorage.

    The Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters is responsible for providing counseling, education and case management to clients assigned in structured programs of Breakthrough as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, this role is assigned additional leadership and mentoring duties to support the milieu treatment program and to promote growth and increased quality for clients and other Caregivers. Assists leadership in the develop and maintenance of program processes and group curriculum. The Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters demonstrates advanced clinical skills and serves as a resource for other clinicians and exemplifies the Providence Core Values.

    The Providence Breakthrough program is an intensive outpatient and outpatient substance use treatment program that provides individual, group and relational therapy services.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master''s Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field
    • Upon hire: Alaska Masters Social Worker License or
    • Upon hire: Alaska Clinical Social Worker License or
    • Upon hire: Alaska Psychologist License or
    • Upon hire: Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License or
    • Upon hire: Alaska Professional Counselor License
    • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
    • 5 years clinical experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Substance abuse counseling experience.
    • Group therapy experience.
    • Crisis and assessment experience.

    Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
