Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join our dynamic team supporting the Opex - Medallia project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in MicroStrategy, Oracle, PL/SQL, and data modeling and a proven ability to design, develop, test, and migrate complex BI reports and dashboards, including conversions from OBIEE to MicroStrategy.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and migrate complex BI reports and dashboards in MicroStrategy.
- Convert existing OBIEE reports to MicroStrategy with attention to data accuracy and performance.
- Perform end-to-end analysis including requirements gathering, data modeling, and technical design for HR and operational reporting.
- Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL scripts against Oracle data warehouse and big data environments for analysis, discovery, and testing.
- Develop visually clear, consumable dashboards and analytics for business stakeholders.
- Ensure scalable reporting architecture as new warehouse functionality is introduced.
- Collaborate with architects to translate business objectives and technical requirements into engineering solutions following sound practices.
- Work with large-scale data transformations involving millions of rows with performance considerations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- MicroStrategy Certified Developer (v9/10) with hands-on dashboard and report development experience.
- Strong Oracle and PL/SQL proficiency, including performance tuning and complex query development.
- Data modeling expertise for BI and data warehouse solutions.
- Experience with large-scale data warehousing and report migration from OBIEE to MicroStrategy.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in HR and operational reporting domains.
- Experience collaborating with enterprise architects on target architectures.
