Olympus Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time, highly motivated Senior Middleware Administrator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will manage, monitor, and maintain middleware platforms that support enterprise applications for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Infrastructure Support Services (ISS) program, applying hands-on expertise in middleware technologies, system integration, and application support.

This position is fully remote and may be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain middleware technologies including WebSphere, JBoss, Control-M, Infosphere, and GlobalScape.
  • Manage application deployments and troubleshoot middleware-related issues.
  • Monitor, optimize, and tune middleware environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Perform proactive system monitoring and log analysis to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with development, database, network, and DevOps teams on system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage middleware instances in accordance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Coordinate configuration changes to ensure alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Respond to incidents related to middleware and application performance, including root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Produce reports on middleware performance, uptime, and operational activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience; additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of experience in middleware administration or related IT infrastructure roles.
  • 5 years of direct experience supporting Infosphere.
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms such as WebSphere, JBoss, Control-M, Infosphere, and GlobalScape.
  • Working understanding of networking concepts including firewalls, load balancing, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios, or similar.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in middleware technologies.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related middleware services.
  • SAS Administration: Experience installing, configuring, and managing SAS environments including SAS Grid Manager and SAS Viya; understanding of SAS components, architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting; experience implementing and maintaining secure SAS environments aligned with data-governance and security policies.
  • DQMAN Administration: Experience using DQMAN to manage and optimize data quality processes and workflows, including cleansing, transformation, and analysis; familiarity with advanced DQMAN features for system integration in large-scale environments.
  • AI in Middleware Operations: Understanding of AI tools and frameworks and how they can enhance middleware performance, automation, and predictive analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Hands-on experience with trend analysis, root cause analysis, and data visualization; ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate business problems into technical solutions; knowledge of data governance and building operational reports or dashboards.
  • Azure Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services as they relate to middleware and data management; familiarity with Azure AD for Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
  • Version Control with GitHub: Experience with GitHub for version control, collaboration, and CI/CD integrations; ability to manage middleware scripts and configurations securely.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO): Experience deploying, integrating, and maintaining SSO solutions across middleware platforms; familiarity with SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Oracle Enterprise Middleware: Proven ability to install, configure, patch, tune, and troubleshoot Oracle middleware environments; understanding of middleware architecture and integration with databases and other infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
