If your answer is yes, step into a senior supervisory role guiding millwright, piping, and rigging teams across heavy industrial and large commercial projects. You will be the field’s point of control—hands-on with installs, relentless about safety, and laser-focused on quality and schedule.

What challenges will you tackle?

• Orchestrate all mechanical field work: process piping systems, utility piping (air, water, steam, chilled water), structural interfaces, equipment setting, and heavy machinery installation.
• Jump in when it counts—install, align, level, grout, and commission pumps, conveyors, compressors, gearboxes, production components, and process equipment.
• Plan each day: manpower, equipment, tooling, and material readiness.
• Direct safe movement of heavy components using cranes, forklifts, and hoists; verify rigging plans.
• Access elevated/confined or complex work areas while meeting OSHA and site-specific standards.
• Uphold site organization and cleanliness; lead safety talks and immediately correct unsafe acts/conditions.
• Assist with cleanup at task completion and project turnover.

How will you collaborate?

• Coordinate ironworkers, riggers, millwrights, welders, fabricators, and mechanical craft to drive sequencing and productivity.
• Work with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and electrical/civil/structural trades to align scope and priorities.
• Meet with clients and inspectors; monitor schedules; rebalance manpower to protect milestones.
• Review drawings, specifications, and change orders; manage field modifications with shop/field teams.
• Approve rigging plans and major lift sequences prior to execution; control crane coordination and lift planning.

Where will you make an impact?

• Preventive maintenance, shutdown execution, and system modifications on industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
• Major equipment delivery oversight, rigging plans, and setting operations.
• Tracking production quantities and reporting progress to management.
• Maintaining safe, clean, and compliant work areas across active plants, manufacturing facilities, shutdowns, and outdoor heavy commercial jobsites.

What do you bring?

• 10+ years of industrial mechanical construction experience.
• Leadership mindset with a willingness to teach and continuously learn.
• Team-first approach; able to follow instructions and communicate clearly.
• Experience with manual/power tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer literacy (email, daily progress documentation, procurement/status tracking).

Physical requirements

• Capable of climbing, balancing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working at heights.
• Strong eye–hand coordination; safe tool and equipment operation.
• Comfort with frequently changing tasks and conditions on active jobsites requiring focus and mobility.

Tools

Bring journeyman-level hand tools. Renfrow Industrial and/or the client will supply specialized tools, testing equipment, and power tools as needed for specific tasks.

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday
• Typical 4x10 workweek
• Overtime as required

Role scope and supervision

• No formal mechanical license required; journeyman-level competence is essential.
• Perform independent mechanical work while directly supervising Mechanical Leads, Mechanics, Riggers, Welders, Iron Workers, Millwrights, Top Helpers, Helpers, and other trades to ensure productivity and accountability.
• Follow all safety protocols; maintain an organized work area.
• Physically demanding role with frequent lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling of heavy tools/equipment.
