Specializing in local and enterprise-level incident response and forensic analysis, Hawk's personnel deliver threat analysis and reporting while implementing solutions based on mature planning and development practices.

 

Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Journeyman PC Technician to join our team and provide expert support in maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems for the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
  • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
  • Monitors and responds to software problems utilizing software testing, tools and techniques.
  • Interfaces with various support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
  • May provide LAN server support.
  • Applies basic knowledge of PC/LAN communications hardware/software in a multi-protocol environment, and network management software.
  • PC Deskside Technicians log, validate and diagnose customer issues, on the full range of applications used on the customer site.
  • Providing the customer with a solution through information gathering, analytical trouble shooting and problem research, or to route or escalate the ticket to the appropriate resolution group. 
  • Escalation and management of calls to agreed service levels.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing software and network connectivity issues.

Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a STEM field or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience as a PC Technician or similar role.
  • TS/SCI required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, etc.) is a plus.
