Role Overview
The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join our mission-focused team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting critical data collection and reporting tools. You will serve as a key technical leader, driving our DevOps initiatives, optimizing delivery pipelines, and ensuring the development of secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. While this role offers remote flexibility, consistent engagement during standard business hours is required, with a strong preference for on-site collaboration.
DevOps Leadership: Design and implement scalable DevOps processes to streamline the development and deployment of enterprise-level applications.
Pipeline Automation: Lead the adoption of CI/CD and cloud technology initiatives, centralizing code repositories (GitHub/Azure DevOps) to enhance workflow efficiency.
Quality & Security: Integrate automated scanning tools into the development lifecycle to uphold rigorous code quality and security standards.
Release Management: Optimize code branching, merging, and release strategies to ensure seamless, reliable deployments.
Performance Optimization: Actively manage technical debt and drive continuous improvement throughout the SDLC.
Testing & Reliability: Significantly increase unit and integration test coverage; champion Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure application stability.
Architectural Excellence: Utilize .NET Core to implement complex business logic using structured, pattern-based development practices.
Workflow Automation: Minimize manual intervention by automating complex build and deployment workflows to maximize operational efficiency.
Core Development: 8+ years of experience in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and .NET Core.
Data & T-SQL: 8+ years of experience with T-SQL and MS SQL Server, focusing on data integrity and complex query management.
Security Engineering: 8+ years of experience implementing secure coding practices, static code analysis, and data protection/encryption methodologies.
DevOps & CI/CD: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, GitHub Enterprise, and GitHub Actions.
Test Automation: 5+ years of experience in automated testing, documentation, and gating deployments via TDD.
Process Optimization: 5+ years of experience in optimizing code branching, merging, and release processes.
Quality Assurance: 4+ years of experience managing and configuring code quality and security scanning tools.
