Job Details

The Senior .NET Engineer will help modernize a mature healthcare software platform currently deployed within client network environments. This person will play a key role in moving legacy .NET architecture forward while keeping the product reliable, secure, and appropriate for healthcare clients who are not moving the core platform to the cloud.

Location: Remote-first, Southern California must!

Platform Modernization & Engineering Ownership

· Lead development on a legacy .NET healthcare platform
· Drive modernization from .NET Framework 4.x toward .NET Core / modern .NET
· Improve existing product architecture, maintainability, and performance
· Build clean, scalable backend functionality within a client-hosted environment
· Partner with architect-level and senior engineering team members
· Make sound technical decisions with limited oversight
· Support future product direction, including possible AI-enabled capabilities over time

Technical Fit & Working Style

· 6–7+ years of professional .NET engineering experience
· Strong C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET / .NET Core background
· Experience modernizing or migrating legacy .NET applications strongly preferred
· Comfortable working on mature, business-critical software products
· Able to operate independently without heavy hand-holding
· Strong core engineering fundamentals and practical problem-solving ability
· Healthcare technology experience preferred, especially client-hosted or enterprise healthcare systems
· Comfortable in a small engineering team where every person owns their work
