Goal:
Establish a practical migration path for rewriting the existing Stocker1 multi-tenant web application into a modern cross-platform .NET MAUI application that supports Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS while continuing to integrate with a multi-tenant cloud backend.

Work Scope:
This role will define the recommended architecture, frameworks, libraries, and implementation approach for migrating the current Stocker1 web application into a .NET MAUI-based application experience. The existing application is built on a .NET backend with a SQL Server database and legacy front-end technologies, including Durandal and Breeze. The future-state application will require a modern app-based front end capable of supporting online and offline use cases, with reliable synchronization back to the cloud backend when connectivity is restored.
The engagement is not expected to complete the full application rewrite within the initial term. Instead, the focus is to create a strong reference architecture, prove the approach through a representative implementation, and provide a clear path for completing the broader migration through internal resources, IBM, additional contractors, or a blended delivery model.

Expected Deliverables:
• Recommended .NET MAUI reference architecture, including frameworks, libraries, offline storage approach, synchronization strategy, and application structure
• Technical approach for migrating from the current .NET web architecture, Durandal, and Breeze into a cross-platform MAUI application
• Working proof-of-concept or core implementation, potentially including login, application hub/navigation, one functional screen, and one report
• Recommended approach for offline functionality, local data storage, synchronization, conflict handling, and recovery from intermittent connectivity
• Integration guidance for connecting the MAUI front end to the existing multi-tenant backend and SQL Server-based data model
• Migration plan outlining how the remaining application could be completed
• High-level estimate of effort, timeline, staffing model, risks, and potential cost considerations for completing the full rewrite

Required Skills:
• Senior-level .NET MAUI development experience
• Strong understanding of cross-platform application development for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS
• Experience designing applications that support offline use and later synchronization with backend systems ( Highly preferred experience if possible)
• Experience designing application architecture for enterprise or line-of-business applications
• Ability to translate legacy web application workflows into modern app-based user experiences
• Strong understanding of .NET backend architectures, APIs, authentication, authorization, and cloud-connected applications
• Ability to evaluate technical options, make practical architecture recommendations, and document a repeatable migration approach

Preferred Skills:
• Experience migrating legacy .NET web applications into modern app or mobile architectures
• Experience with offline-first application patterns, local databases, sync frameworks, queued transactions, and conflict resolution
• Familiarity with SQL Server-backed applications and multi-tenant data models
• Experience with Durandal, Breeze, or similar legacy JavaScript application frameworks
• Experience building applications that operate in environments with intermittent or unreliable connectivity
• Experience producing estimates, migration plans, and cost analysis for large application rewrites
• Agricultural, livestock, stocker/backgrounder, or production animal industry experience

Role Emphasis:
This is an architecture-led, hands-on engineering role intended to establish the foundation for a larger Stocker1 modernization effort. The ideal candidate has deep .NET MAUIexperience, understands legacy web application architecture, and can design a practical offline-capable application model that integrates cleanly with a multi-tenant backend. The primary objective is to define the right technical path, prove it through a limited implementation, and leave behind a realistic plan for completing the full application rewrite.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, scope, and execute migrations of Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian products between Server, Data Center, and Cloud platforms
• Perform pre-migration assessments, including app/plugin compatibility audits, data cleanup, and risk analysis
• Develop detailed migration runbooks, rollback plans, and cutover schedules
• Use Atlassian's Cloud Migration Assistant and related tooling to migrate users, permissions, workflows, custom fields, and historical data
• Identify and remediate migration blockers such as incompatible add-ons, custom workflow schemes, or data inconsistencies
• Consolidate multiple Atlassian instances and restructure projects/spaces as needed
• Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule migration windows and communicate timelines, risks, and status updates
• Validate post-migration data integrity, permissions, and integrations (SSO, CI/CD, ITSM tools, etc.)
• Document migration processes, lessons learned, and standard operating procedures
• Provide post-migration support and troubleshoot issues with system administrators and end users
• Stay current on Atlassian product roadmaps, licensing changes, and migration best practices
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Management)
• Demonstrated experience leading at least one large-scale Server/Data Center to Cloud migration
• Strong understanding of Jira/Confluence architecture: schemes, workflows, permissions, custom fields, spaces, and project configurations
• Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant tools (JCMA, CCMA)
• Experience scripting or automating migration tasks (e.g., Python, Groovy/ScriptRunner, REST API)
• Understanding of authentication and identity management (SAML/SSO, Atlassian Access)
• Solid grasp of data integrity, backup/restore procedures, and rollback planning
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder coordination
Preferred Qualifications
• Atlassian certification (ACP-Cloud Migrations, ACP-100, or similar)
• Experience with third-party migration tools (e.g., Configure, Spartez/eazyBI, OnDemand)
• Background in Atlassian Marketplace app evaluation and replacement during migrations
• Experience with Bitbucket/GitHub migrations and CI/CD pipeline reconfiguration
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and Jira Service Management
• Prior consulting or professional services experience with Atlassianimplementations
