Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Software Engineer to join a technology team modernizing a large-scale, enterprise transaction processing platform.

This is a hands-on development role focused on transforming legacy applications through .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, microservices, and modular architecture. You will work within an Agile/Scrum environment alongside solution architects, cloud engineers, database developers, API developers, and QA engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core.
• Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices supporting enterprise applications.
• Contribute to the modernization and modularization of a large-scale transaction processing platform.
• Develop new application capabilities while enhancing and supporting existing functionality.
• Collaborate with SQL developers to implement efficient data access and integration patterns.
• Integrate applications with SQL Server in Azure environments.
• Work with Azure Data Factory and data integration processes.
• Integrate backend applications with ETL and data pipelines using technologies such as SSIS and Databricks.
• Participate in application performance tuning, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Integrate backend applications with Azure-based services and cloud components.
• Support automated build, testing, and deployment processes using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, daily standups, and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with architecture, cloud, database, API, QA, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong experience integrating applications with SQL Server, including SQL Server hosted within Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and development best practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub for source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and cloud-based data integration.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and application performance optimization skills.
• Experience developing and supporting complex enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
• Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) and microservices architecture.
• Experience developing applications within distributed or high-availability environments.
• Experience integrating backend systems with ETL/data pipelines using SSIS, Databricks, or similar technologies.
• Experience with large-scale transaction processing platforms.
• Knowledge of transportation, tolling, payment processing, or other high-volume transactional systems is helpful but not required.
