DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Sr. Network Administrator - works under the direction of the Director of Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations. This position provides support and maintenance for networking and telecommunication infrastructure. Including but not limited to Phone Systems, Cell Phones, networking infrastructure, WAN and LAN connectivity. Under general direction plans, directs and monitors all aspects of the organizations Telecommunication and network systems and functions; oversees and performs duties related to the operation, maintenance, upgrade, repair, and software administration of telecommunications and network systems; communicates with vendors, ensures vendor performance and contract compliance. Participates in the establishment and maintenance of policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration. Monitors and test network performance and prepares statistical reports. Participates in the evaluation, selection, development, and integration of new network systems and applications. Maintains network and telecommunications component inventory and related documentations of technical specifications. QUALIFICATIONS Professional/Educational Bachelors degree, with coursework in telecommunications technology, electronics, business administration, or a related field. Additional years of relevant experience above the minimum will be considered in lieu of the required education, on a year-for-year basis. Four (4) years of recent and verifiable experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment; including one year of lead or supervisory experience. Experience in the healthcare field preferred. Personal Ability to communicate with other professionals. Ability to lead small project teams. Ability to analyze and offer recommendations on projects. Possess superior human relations skills Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
