Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator

Overview:

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

Responsibilities:

• Leads platform and infrastructure sustainment for Red LAN servers, virtualized services, operating environments, storage, accounts, patches, backups, restorations, and system configurations.
• Oversees maintenance execution and approved technical changes; resolves escalated infrastructure issues; and ensures platform readiness supports availability, operational continuity, cybersecurity compliance, and engineering/test activity.
• Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
• Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
• Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
• Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system
  performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
• May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 8-10 years of related work experience
• US Citizenipship
• Active Top Secret Clearance

Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $115,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
