Senior Network Architect CISCO

Kforce has a client in Fulton, MD that is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead the strategy, design, and evolution of large-scale enterprise network environments.

Summary: This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for developing and implementing network architecture standards, guiding infrastructure roadmaps, and driving modernization initiatives across complex LAN, WAN, wireless, and security environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep Cisco expertise and a proven track record designing and supporting enterprise-class network infrastructures. This role requires a hands-on architect who can engage with business and technical stakeholders, evaluate emerging technologies, and deliver scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop enterprise-wide network architecture strategies and technology roadmaps
• Design, implement, and optimize complex LAN, WAN, wireless, and security solutions
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Cisco networking technologies
• Lead network modernization efforts involving SDA, DNA Center, and ACI environments
• Create high-level and low-level network design documentation
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and vendors
• Design and support Cisco ISE-based network access control solutions
• Implement and manage site-to-site and remote access VPN environments
• Oversee network equipment lifecycle management, upgrades, and patching
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise initiatives
• Develop performance standards and operational best practices
• Produce technical documentation, diagrams, planning guides, and implementation standards
