POSITION: Senior Network Engineer
JOB GOALS: The Senior Network Engineer's primary responsibility is to ensure the availability, health, and performance of Arlington's IP networking environment, consisting of wired and wireless ethernet networks supporting both Arlington Public Schools and the Town of Arlington. In this role, they are responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting all installed network equipment, including but not limited to core and edge ethernet switches, wireless access points and associated controllers, firewalls, virtual private network (VPN) infrastructure, and external public internet connectivity. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing redundant, highly available network architecture to maximize uptime and minimize end-user disruption, including disaster recovery (DR) planning. In this role, they will collaborate with both internal and external technical resources to ensure high quality service delivery.

SALARY RANGE: $85,000 to $110,000 annually
