Overview
At least 5 years of demonstrated IPv6 experience covering architecture, addressing, routing, implementation, migration, dual-stack environments, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
• Provide network management and IPv6 architecture design support for the Department of HUD.
• Lead the implementation and augmentation of IPv6 into the existing environment.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise-scale IP networks, including enterprise routing, switching, and protocols such as BGP, OSPF/OSPFv3, EIGRP, IS-IS, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP/DHCPv6, ICMP/ICMPv6, TCP/IP, and SNMP.
• Support network modernization, migration, or transformation in large, complex environments including data centers, cloud, LAN/WAN, remote-access, or Internet environments.
• Develop and review network diagrams, implementation plans, technical standards, assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Architect and implement zero trust solutions and support network security technologies including firewalls, access control, segmentation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, lead technical discussions, identify risks, and develop remediation strategies.
• Mentor personnel and brief senior stakeholders on network architecture and project updates.

Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in network engineering, architecture, or related telecommunications disciplines.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated IPv6 experience covering architecture, addressing, routing, implementation, migration, dual-stack environments, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively with agency leaders.
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise IP networks.
• Proficiency with enterprise routing/switching and protocols such as BGP, OSPF/OSPFv3, EIGRP, IS-IS, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP/DHCPv6, ICMP/ICMPv6, TCP/IP, and SNMP.
• Knowledge of network security technologies including firewalls, access control, segmentation, and security monitoring.
• Experience with Cisco, F5, and CrowdStrike.
• Ability to develop high-level and low-level design documentation, network diagrams, implementation plans, and risk assessments.
• Experience supporting network modernization projects, migrations, and large-scale environments.
• Strong technical communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE/CCNP, JNCIP/JNCIE, IPv6 credentials, Azure Netowrk Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking, CISSP, Security+, or equivalent are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field is preferred. Equivalent certifications and professional experience may be considered.
