This hybrid role, based in Nashville, TN, is ideal for a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancing, and modern cloud networking solutions.\n \nResponsibilities\n \nEdge Network Architecture & Engineering\n\n Design, implement, and maintain secure edge network architectures supporting on\u2011prem and cloud workloads.\n Engineer and support Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect, and advanced security services (App\u2011ID, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering).\n Manage and optimize F5 BIG\u2011IP platforms including LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, and APM modules.\n \nCloud Networking & Hybrid Connectivity\n\n Architect and support cloud networking solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP (VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers).\n Implement secure hybrid connectivity solutions such as site\u2011to\u2011site VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, or SD\u2011WAN.\n Ensure consistent security and routing policies across multi\u2011cloud and on\u2011prem environments.\n \nSecurity, Performance & Operations\n\n Develop and enforce network security standards, segmentation strategies, and zero\u2011trust principles.\n Monitor and troubleshoot complex network, firewall, and load\u2011balancing issues.\n Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and root\u2011cause analysis.\n Automate network operations using scripting or infrastructure\u2011as\u2011code tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).\n \nCollaboration & Leadership\n\n Partner with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives.\n Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and escalation support for junior engineers.\n Participate in on\u2011call rotation and support critical incident response.\n \nQualifications\n\n 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.\n Strong expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security platforms.\n Hands-on experience with F5 BIG\u2011IP load balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM).\n Experience designing and supporting cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP.\n Deep understanding of routing, switching, DNS, SSL/TLS, and network security principles.\n Proficiency with automation and scripting for network operations.\n Strong troubleshooting skills in large-scale, mission-critical environments.\n \nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Industry certifications such as:\n Palo Alto (PCNSA, PCNSE)\n F5 (CA, CTS)\n Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)\n Experience with SD\u2011WAN technologies.\n Familiarity with zero\u2011trust architectures and modern security frameworks.\n Experience supporting containerized or microservices environments.\n \nWhat do we offer\n \nIn exchange for your expertise, HireRight offers an excellent employee benefit package which includes:\n\n Medical\n Dental\n Vision\n Paid Life/AD&D Insurance\n Voluntary Life Insurance\n Short & Long Term Disability\n Flexible Spending Accounts\n 401K\n Generous Vacation and Sick Program\n 10 Paid Holidays\n Education Assistance Program\n Business Casual Attire\n Generous Referral Program\n Employee Discounts and Rewards\n And much more!\n* All resumes are held in confidence.
