This position requires an active Top Secret SCI clearance. Position OverviewAs the Senior Network Engineer, the individual will monitor and control the performance and status of network resources across multiple enclaves utilizing software and hardware tools. In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will support an on-premises network including Cisco hardware and related software covering multiple tenant agencies. The successful candidate will troubleshoot network issues, address outages, plan and execute network changes and support ATOs.Key ResponsibilitiesPlans, configures, and installs networking hardware / software replacements and upgradesDevelops and maintains all networking documentation (drawings, cut sheets, configurations, and deployment plans)Works closely with tenant agency engineers in support of networking related projectsIdentifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting network performance.Provides day-to-day subject matter expertise to tenant agenciesTroubleshoots networking issues and outages, which may occur during non-core hoursWorks with vendors in support of the networkEnsures all networking applicable STIGs, POA&Ms and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely mannerPerforms routine and preventative maintenance services on all devices within the networking area of responsibilityMaintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trendsPerforms other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting officeRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of ten (10) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer system/network engineeringMust have and maintain to be eligible and adjudicated to a Top Secret/SCI clearance Must meet the requirements of the DoD 8570 series, (IAT Level II), Security+ or HigherRequires a current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification OR the successful completion of either the (DCCOR, ENCOR, SPCOR) examsPrior experience with data center technologies within a large government environmentExtensive experience with inter-VLAN routing, OSPF, BGP, and HSRP is requiredExperience with Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA, Cisco ASR routers, Catalysts switches, Nexus devices and Cisco Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls is requiredProficient in Microsoft Visio and Office productsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degreeMonitoring devices such as Cisco Stealth watch and SolarWinds is desiredPhysical and Mental Qualifications:Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.Perform the essential functions of the role satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation will be provided for employees with disabilities upon request.Accept and adapt to additional responsibilities or changes to assigned duties as determined by DirectViz Solutions (DVS).If you thrive on solving complex problems and building meaningful connections, we'd love to hear from you.
