About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Engineer to lead verification and validation activities for complex network infrastructure projects. This role requires deep technical expertise in Cisco technologies, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to independently assess network designs and implementations.

The Senior Network IV&V Engineer will ensure that network solutions meet rigorous quality, performance, security, and project requirements through comprehensive testing, technical reviews, configuration audits, and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Independent Verification & Validation

• Lead IV&V activities for complex network architectures, including design reviews, configuration audits, and performance validation.

• Develop and execute comprehensive IV&V test plans, procedures, and scripts to assess network integrity, reliability, and compliance.

• Analyze network designs and implementations to ensure alignment with industry standards, organizational policies, and project requirements.

• Identify technical risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and validate corrective actions in collaboration with network architects, engineers, and cybersecurity teams.

Network Engineering & Technical Validation

• Provide expert technical guidance on Cisco routing, switching, security, and other network technologies throughout the IV&V lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot and validate network issues identified during testing.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and develop detailed remediation recommendations.

• Evaluate network configurations and implementations for technical accuracy, performance, and security.

• Support the validation of network infrastructure against defined technical and operational requirements.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Prepare detailed IV&V reports, technical documentation, and presentations for engineering teams and executive leadership.

• Support audit and compliance activities through thorough validation processes and documentation.

• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in network validation, quality assurance, and technical review.

• Stay current with evolving Cisco technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in network engineering, network infrastructure validation, or a related technical discipline.

• Strong technical expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and network security.

• Experience conducting network design reviews, configuration audits, and performance validation.

• Ability to develop and execute technical test plans, procedures, and validation scripts.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including root-cause analysis.

• Experience collaborating with network engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity teams.

• Excellent technical documentation, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to independently evaluate complex network implementations against established standards and project requirements.

Security Clearance & Work Authorization

• Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain an FAA security clearance equivalent to a DoW Top Secret clearance.
• Work Authorization: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. This position does not offer employment visa sponsorship.
