Description

Position Overview: The Senior Network QA Engineer leads quality assurance, process ownership, and documentation excellence for a large-scale, multi-vendor network deployment environment. This individual performs pre-deployment quality assurance reviews of network device configurations, serves as the final technical quality checkpoint prior to deployment, and validates configurations against established runbooks. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure network devices meet documented standards before implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-deployment quality assurance reviews of network device configurations across multiple technologies and platforms.
  • Serve as the final technical quality checkpoint prior to deployment or shipment.
  • Validate configurations against established runbooks, standards, and documented requirements.
  • Identify errors, omissions, and deviations from established organizational standards.
  • Provide real-time guidance and procedural support during staging and deployment activities without directly performing configurations.
  • Review, validate, and continuously improve technical runbooks supporting the device deployment lifecycle.
  • Ensure deployment procedures and standards remain current, accurate, and scalable.
  • Update documentation and processes as issues are identified to capture lessons learned and reduce repeat errors.
  • Drive change-control discipline by documenting, reviewing, and approving process deviations.
  • Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, templates, checklists, and reference materials to improve consistency and reduce operational risk.
  • Document systems, workflows, and technical dependencies supporting deployment processes.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices.
  • Communicate quality status, deployment readiness, findings, risks, and remediation recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering, project management, and operations teams throughout the deployment lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
  • Eight or more years of progressive network engineering experience, including senior-level engineering or architecture responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in runbook creation, ownership, execution, technical documentation development, or quality assurance process ownership within network environments.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale circuit deployments (such as DIA, WAN, or cellular), enterprise firewall deployments, or enterprise routing and switching implementations.
  • Strong technical understanding of routing and switching, VLAN design, network circuits, and connectivity.
  • Solid comprehension of centralized network management platforms, change management, and process controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with native or bilingual proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve process gaps and technical quality issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with centralized network management platforms such as FortiManager or similar technologies.
  • Technical familiarity with vendors and platforms including Fortinet, Juniper, and Cradlepoint.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, repeatable deployment initiatives.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or enterprise-level environments.
