Microsoft's Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP's vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the worlds computers with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsofts over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. The Cloud Sourcing, Security and Sustainability (CS3) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. The role of the Senior Network Sourcing Manager will focus on the following key areas:
Define and establish Microsoft's Network Sourcing strategy for datacenter switching technologies to drive competitive advantages for Microsoft cloud offerings.
Early engagement with our suppliers, network architecture and engineering teams to identify optimization opportunities and drive product solutions around design for availability and TCO.
Establish appropriate sourcing strategy with relevant partners to drive long-term goals of Technology Adoption, COS (Continuity of Supply), Cost, Quality, Business Health, and Sustainability.
Provide thought leadership and manage strategic initiatives with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support cloud supply chain objectives and strategies.

Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles
OR Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles
OR equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in networking product development, validation, component engineering, field applications engineering, sourcing engineering, or related roles.
Experience with networking hardware development, manufacturing, qualification, or validation.
Experience applying automated testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
Expertise in datacenter switching hardware and network component engineering.
Advanced knowledge in networking hardware development, qualification, and validation.
Strong influencing and storytelling capabilities to build and maintain crucial stakeholder relationships.
Exceptional analytical skills with experience applying data analysis and continuous improvement practices.
Sourcing Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
