We are seeking an experienced Senior Okta Engineer / IAM Engineer with 8 10 years of experience in Identity and Access Management and strong hands-on expertise with Okta implementations, configuration, integration, and architecture. The ideal candidate should have participated in at least 4 5 Okta implementations and possess development experience with Java/J2EE.
The candidate will be responsible for leading Okta product configuration and implementation, integrating enterprise applications, developing workflows and custom connectors, and implementing secure authentication and authorization solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support end-to-end Okta implementations, including configuration, integration, testing, and deployment.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Okta components, architecture, and capabilities.
Configure and manage Okta solutions with minimal product customization.
Implement and support Okta SSO and MFA solutions.
Design and implement machine-to-machine authentication and API authentication/authorization.
Integrate enterprise and internally developed applications with Okta.
Develop and configure Okta Workflows and custom connectors.
Implement out-of-the-box Okta configurations based on business and security requirements.
Configure account access recertification and delegation capabilities.
Customize Okta user interfaces based on business requirements.
Generate and customize standard and business-specific reports.
Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into scalable Okta solutions.
Lead technical discussions and provide recommendations on Okta architecture and implementation approaches.
Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, integration, and configuration issues.
Collaborate with application, security, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver IAM solutions.
Required Qualifications
8 10 years of experience in IAM, identity security, or related technologies.
Hands-on experience with at least 4 5 Okta implementations.
Strong knowledge of Okta architecture and components.
Extensive experience with Okta configuration and administration.
Strong experience with Okta SSO and MFA.
Deep understanding of API authentication and authorization.
Experience with machine-to-machine authentication.
At least 2 years of Java/J2EE development experience.
Experience integrating enterprise and custom applications with Okta.
Experience developing Okta Workflows and custom connectors.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and access management concepts.
Ability to design solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements with minimal customization.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Identity and Access Management implementation, design, and architecture.
Strong understanding of MFA and modern authentication protocols.
Experience with application onboarding and enterprise IAM integrations.
Experience with access recertification and identity governance.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
