Senior Operating Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Building Engineer to help oversee the maintenance and operations of our iconic high-rise office building located in the Central Business District/Downtown Houston. This is a prestigious position offering the opportunity to work directly for the building ownership.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

\n

• \n
• Assist Chief and Assistant Chief oversee and manage aspects of building maintenance and operations.
• \n
• Manage various maintenance and operational projects.
• \n
• Work collaboratively with others and foster a team-oriented environment.
• \n
• Ensure all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are functioning optimally.
• \n
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• \n
• Supervise and mentor our team of Building engineers.
• \n
• Coordinate contractor and vendor activities as needed.
• \n
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and resolve issues efficiently.
• \n
• Maintain records of all maintenance activities and help prepare reports for ownership.

Qualifications:

\n

• \n
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in high-rise buildings.
• \n
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• \n
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• \n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• \n
• Proficient using maintenance management software.
• \n
• Proven ability to manage projects effectively.
• \n
• Proficient working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• \n
• Absolute team player with a collaborative mindset.
• \n

Must possess:

\n

• \n
• City of Houston Stationary Engineers License, preferably First Grade but will make an allowance based on experience.
• \n
• State of Texas Maintenance Electricians License.
• \n
• EPA Refrigerant Certification
• \n
