We are seeking an EXPERIENCED Optician to join our team! We are looking for a long term team member, who is interested in career advancement to a potential manager position. 

 

• Build strong relationships with patients to understand their unique visual needs and lifestyle.
• Educate patients on new products, technologies, and services. Take accurate measurements, and assist them with selecting eyewear.
• Order and manage eyewear and contact lens orders.
• Perform contact lens trainings as well as order contact lenses and glasses for patients
• Explain pricing and insurance coverage
• Assist with scheduling appointments/perform front desk tasks when needed
• Inventory control and board management
  
  

The candidate we are seeking has exceptional customer service skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills. An in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of an optometrist’s office will benefit the appropriate candidate.   Knowledge of major stand-alone vision plans is highly valued.   
 
Qualifications:

• Experience - required 5 years in the Optical field
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a strong team player
• Exceptional customer service skills, both over phone and in person
• Able to assist with scheduling appointments/perform front desk tasks when needed
• Experience with vision plan billing
• Must be an independent worker, willing to problem solve and open to learning new technology
  
  

Preferred skills:

• EHR knowledge- we currently use RevolutionEHR
• Patient pre-testing experience
• Experience with inventory control and board management
• Previous management experience is a plus
