Senior Oracle Commerce Cloud / Application Developer

Position Overview
The Senior Application Developer will provide advanced analysis, design, development, enhancement, implementation, troubleshooting, and production support for complex Oracle-based applications supporting Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) eCommerce and portal systems.
The role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) and related systems, including eCommerce websites, licensee ordering portals, associate portals, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) environments.
The developer will work across the SDLC, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, debugging, testing, UAT support, deployment, change management, production troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced application analysis, design, development, enhancement, implementation, and support.
- Develop and maintain applications within the Oracle Commerce Cloud ecosystem.
- Analyze existing code and design efficient technical solutions for business requests and defects.
- Develop, debug, test, document, and deploy application changes.
- Configure and support Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations.
- Support Oracle-based eCommerce and portal applications.
- Evaluate packaged and customized application changes and recommend the most effective technical solutions.
- Research new technologies/products and assess their integration and organizational viability.
- Participate in code reviews and peer reviews.
- Follow established Commonwealth and agency Change Management processes.
- Prepare level-of-effort estimates for enhancements and service requests.
- Conduct developer/team testing before changes proceed to business UAT.
- Investigate and resolve defects identified during testing and UAT.
- Progress code through multiple non-production environments while maintaining clean environments.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, and production support.
- Monitor system performance and identify operational deficiencies.
- Recommend and implement performance improvements.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, including:
- Restarting jobs
- Restarting integrations
- System monitoring
- Environment maintenance
- Participate in after-hours maintenance activities when required.
- Support security, backup/recovery, error handling, data security, and system controls.
- Ensure applications comply with PCI and eCommerce security standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design decisions, requirements, estimates, testing documentation, and change records.
- Provide project/status updates to management.
- Serve as an SME for supported systems, development tools, processes, policies, and application code.
- Collaborate with developers, IT teams, business users, and management.
- Assist with software/product assessments and recommendations.
- Perform other related development and support duties as assigned.
