Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer / Oracle Developer (Feature Lead) to join our dynamic team starting in July. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, data warehousing, ETL, and Java (Spring/Hibernate) and a proven ability to lead feature delivery, mentor offshore teams, and deliver scalable HR and finance data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead feature delivery across design, development, testing, and migration of Oracle objects for HR reporting domains.
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to mostly offshore developers and represent the team in status meetings.
  • Develop complex ETL and data models in a data warehousing environment for FTE, headcount, and leadership reporting.
  • Ensure systems design and requirements align with desired business outcomes and quality standards.
  • Promote coding, testing, documentation, release procedures, and security best practices that minimize technical debt.
  • Implement enterprise data quality and data protection standards.
  • Act as liaison for production activities and guide work breakdown and execution.
  • Oversee continuous improvement of database scalability and performance.
  • Use version control tools such as Git/Bitbucket and schedule automation with Autosys.
  • Advance Agile delivery with automated testing, CI, and CD; identify data anomalies and patterns in large datasets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Oracle Database platforms including SQL and PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and VPD security.
  • 6+ years in data warehousing with efficient manipulation and transformation of millions of rows.
  • Experience building ETL and data models for large data domains, preferably HR, Finance, and Real Estate.
  • Proficiency with TOAD, Unix shell scripting, Autosys, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, risk identification, and critical thinking skills.
  • Master Data Management concepts, tools, and best practices.
  • Enterprise Java with Spring and Hibernate.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Enterprise HR or other sensitive data domain experience and financial services or banking industry background.
  • Advanced experience with Unix shell scripting, Autosys, and TOAD for Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of machine learning, AI, and big data analytics; experience integrating tools such as Co‑Pilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum, DevOps, SAFe or Disciplined Agile, and CI/CD release processes.
  • Knowledge of data regulations, data management, and governance best practices.
