IDR is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you’ll help design, administer, optimize, and secure enterprise Oracle database environments across a hybrid landscape. You’ll partner with application, infrastructure, security, and data governance teams to support mission-critical workloads and modernization initiatives.

Position Overview for the Senior Oracle Database Administrator :

  • Manage, monitor, and support Oracle database environments (11g through 23c) across OCI, AWS (EC2/RDS for Oracle), and on-prem platforms.
  • Administer multi-tenant architectures (CDB/PDB), RAC, and Data Guard configurations to ensure enterprise uptime and performance.
  • Design and lead hybrid connectivity and cloud deployment strategies, including migration and modernization efforts.
  • Proactively manage performance, capacity, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery to meet enterprise SLAs.

Requirements for the Senior Oracle Database Administrator :

  • Enterprise database administration experience with Oracle (11g through 23c) across OCI, AWS, and on-prem environments
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL background with practical performance tuning and capacity forecasting experience
  • Deep understanding of Oracle database concepts including process, memory, storage, ASM management, DR, and cloud infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Linux (Redhat or Oracle) and Shell scripting
  • Experience with automation and DevOps enablement using tools such as Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or OCI Resource Manager
