    Description

    Join Our Government Client
    We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support a government client in managing and maintaining enterprise Oracle database environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, availability, and performance of mission-critical Oracle database systems while supporting high-availability and disaster recovery operations.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle RAC 19c databases on Oracle Exadata.
    • Manage Oracle Data Guard disaster recovery environments.
    • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system efficiency.
    • Install, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database and Oracle Grid Infrastructure.
    • Implement Oracle quarterly security patches and updates in coordination with Oracle Professional Services.
    • Support Oracle Key Vault encryption across all database environments.
    • Administer Oracle ASM clustered environments.
    • Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing using Veeam.
    • Maintain Oracle Linux database environments and support security compliance.
    • Configure and monitor scheduled Oracle batch jobs and system alerts.
    • Respond to production incidents, Service Desk tickets, and database outages.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and development teams.
    • Maintain database inventory, documentation, and change management records.
    • Provide after-hours and weekend support when required.
    Required Qualifications
    • 8–10 years of experience as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator.
    • Extensive experience managing Oracle RAC 19c environments.
    • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Data Guard.
    • Experience administering Oracle Linux environments.
    • Experience with Oracle ASM.
    • Strong database performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
    • Experience implementing Oracle quarterly patches and security updates.
    • Experience with Oracle Grid Infrastructure upgrades.
    • Hands-on experience with Oracle Key Vault.
    • Experience performing database backup and recovery using Veeam.
    • Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, SSL, SSH, and SFTP.
    • Experience with Shell Scripting, Perl, and Python.
    • Strong understanding of Change Management and Disaster Recovery processes.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
    • Experience supporting Oracle WebLogic environments.
    • Previous experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government Oracle environments.
    Work Schedule
    • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
    • Monday through Friday
    • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • 35-hour work week
