ASRC Federal Technology Solutions is seeking highly skilled Senior Database Administrator (DBA) (Oracle, Oracle Wallet, SQL & PL/SQL) to support, maintain, and enhance mission‑critical database environments across both on‑premises systems and AWS cloud platform. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, security, and availability of all databases while supporting custom application development and operational needs.

To be considered for this role, the ability to be on-site with the customer and currently have an Active Secret clearance is required. This customers office is located at 600 19th Street NW DC and is accessible by metro.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related or applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Secret level government clearance

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience restoring and validating data integrity in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Database administration, including Oracle Wallet.
  • Proven expertise in performance tuning, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and patching.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in backup/recovery strategies and disaster‑recovery planning.
  • Experience with data migration and ETL/data load processes.
  • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development skills.
  • Experience managing both on‑premises databases and Amazon RDS cloud database services.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and compliance with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting multiple actively supported Oracle versions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Restore, validate, and maintain backend data integrity across enterprise systems.
  • Manage availability, performance monitoring, tuning, maintenance, and upgrade operations for Oracle databases.
  • Perform backup and recovery operations, data migrations, and bulk data loads.
  • Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code in support of custom applications.
  • Support and administer both on‑premises Oracle databases and cloud database services (Amazon RDS).
  • Ensure database security and design practices align with NIST Cybersecurity Framework standards.
  • Troubleshoot database issues for internal teams and external clients.
  • Assist in planning, designing, and developing new database structures and enhancements.
  • Maintain familiarity with all actively supported Oracle Database versions.
  • Utilize Oracle Wallet for secure authentication and encryption where applicable.
