Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Mainframe SAS migration, Python, and Java UI integration and a proven ability to analyze legacy workflows, redesign for Oracle, and deliver accurate, performant migrations.
Responsibilities:
- Convert and migrate legacy Mainframe SAS processes to Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Analyze existing Mainframe SAS workflows and redesign logic for Oracle-based execution.
- Ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of Oracle-based solutions.
- Build and enhance a Java-based UI for process maintenance.
- Develop Python utilities for automation, data processing, and migration tasks.
- Use JIRA for work management in an Agile or hybrid environment.
- Report to the technology manager for planning, status, and delivery oversight with minimal client interaction.
- Support team members and contribute to a collaborative, delivery-focused culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PLSQL development.
- Experience with Mainframe SAS and migration of SAS workflows.
- Working proficiency with Python for automation and data handling.
- Experience supporting or integrating with Java-based applications.
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar workflow tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proven team player with solid communication and problem-solving skills.
- Track record of on-time delivery of high-quality technical outcomes.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to COBOL on the mainframe or related legacy modernization.
- Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
