    Description

    Overview

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Utilities Cloud Architect to support a large-scale utility modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across the Oracle Utilities ecosystem, including Oracle Utilities Cloud, CC&B, C2M, MDM, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with a proven track record leading architecture, cloud transformation, integration, and modernization programs within utility environments.

    This role requires a senior architect capable of engaging with business and technical stakeholders, defining solution architecture, leading cloud modernization efforts, supporting integrations across the utility landscape, and providing strategic guidance throughout implementation and operational phases.

    May require some onsite travel to CA
    Fully remote but will require PST working hours


    Required Experience

    Oracle Utilities Platform Expertise

    • Oracle Utilities Cloud
    • Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)
    • Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M)
    • Oracle Meter Data Management (MDM)
    • Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)
    • Oracle Customer Cloud Service (CCS) experience preferred

    Strong experience supporting one or more of the following:

    • Electric Utilities
    • Water Utilities
    • Gas Utilities
    • Municipal Utilities

    Experience supporting:

    • Meter-to-Cash processes
    • Customer Information Systems (CIS)
    • Billing and Revenue Management
    • Meter Data Management
    • Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
    • Utility operations and customer service platforms

    Responsibilities

    • Lead architecture and design activities for Oracle Utilities Cloud initiatives.
    • Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards for Oracle Utilities solutions.
    • Provide architectural leadership across CC&B, C2M, MDM, and related Oracle Utilities products.
    • Design and oversee cloud modernization and migration strategies.
    • Define integration architecture between Oracle Utilities applications and enterprise systems.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams to align solutions with organizational objectives.
    • Evaluate current-state environments and develop future-state architecture roadmaps.
    • Support application upgrades, migrations, and platform transformations.
    • Provide guidance on scalability, performance, security, and operational readiness.
    • Participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, and executive-level discussions.
    • Mentor technical teams and provide leadership throughout project delivery.
    • Support implementation planning, deployment strategy, cutover planning, and go-live readiness activities.

    • Oracle Utilities SaaS environments
    • OCI-based Oracle Utilities deployments
    • Utility transformation programs
    • Smart Meter / AMI integrations
    • Oracle Analytics, ODI, OAS, or OUAW
    • Web Services, APIs, and enterprise integrations
    • Oracle Fusion Middleware
    • Utility industry regulatory environments
    • Large-scale utility clients and modernization programs

    Desired Background

    • 10+ years of Oracle Utilities experience
    • 15+ years of overall IT experience preferred
    • Architect-level leadership experience
    • Proven success leading Oracle Utilities architecture engagements
    • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Experience working with large utility organizations and enterprise-scale environments
