Role: Senior Packaging Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA or Arden Hills, MN; remote considered for exceptional candidates
Duration: 6 Months initially, with potential extension to 12 months
Start Date: November 2026
Pay Rate: $45 50/hr on W2
Travel: Domestic travel required; occasional international travel possible.

Job Description:
Seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead packaging integration activities for a medical device company, including packaging development, validation, gap assessments, and cross-functional project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead packaging engineering workstreams and integration plans.
• Conduct packaging gap assessments and risk evaluations.
• Develop and execute packaging verification and validation protocols.
• Prepare specifications, test reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, regulatory, operations, and suppliers.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of packaging engineering experience; 8 15 years preferred.
• Medical device packaging and sterile barrier system experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 11607-1, ISO 11607-2, design controls, and process validation.
• Strong technical writing, project management, and supplier coordination skills.
