Our client, a Fortune 5 technology company, is seeking a Senior Packaging Production Designer in San Francisco, CA.
Pay Rate Range: $75 to $85/hr W2, depending on experience

About the Role:
This role is responsible for translating packaging design concepts into manufacturing-ready artwork and documentation that meet global regulatory, operational, and production requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in packaging production design, print production workflows, and managing complex packaging systems across multiple SKUs, product configurations, and global markets. This position works closely with packaging designers, industrial designers, engineers, program managers, and manufacturing partners to ensure accurate and production-ready packaging deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare production-ready packaging artwork for device cartons, labels, in-box documentation, and regulatory inserts.
- Manage packaging artwork across complex product programs with multiple SKUs, accessory configurations, and regional packaging variations.
- Collaborate with packaging designers and industrial designers to ensure final artwork accurately reflects design intent and brand standards.
- Partner with packaging engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure artwork meets print production and manufacturing requirements.
- Work with print vendors and manufacturing partners to review production files, resolve print and dieline issues, and ensure production readiness.
- Review artwork for accuracy, completeness, typography, color specifications, imagery, regulatory content, and dieline alignment.
- Manage artwork revisions and updates throughout the product lifecycle while maintaining version control and documentation.
- Maintain packaging templates, artwork libraries, and documentation standards.
- Ensure packaging deliverables align with product development milestones and manufacturing timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Packaging Production Design, Graphic Production, or a related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong experience managing packaging artwork, multiple SKUs, revisions, and global packaging variations.
- Extensive experience with print production processes, packaging artwork development, and manufacturing-ready files.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing packaging artwork for consumer electronics, hardware, or device-related products.
- Familiarity with packaging manufacturing processes and large-scale print production workflows.
- Experience working directly with packaging engineers, print vendors, and global manufacturing partners.
- Experience supporting large global consumer electronics product portfolios.
