The ideal candidate will be efficient, multitask-oriented, independent, and a team player. The position is responsible for supporting lawyers engaged in IP disputes and litigation, and experience with arbitration and trial preparation/attendance is required.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand litigation motion practice, discovery, trial, and appellate procedures and ability to administratively manage all phases of an IP litigation caseKnowledge of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods and procedures relating to infringement of IP rightsAbility to read and understand technical papers including those to include patents, copyrights, and trademark secretsAssist with trial preparation, by drafting and organizing required documents and filesEfficiently manage document files including correspondence, court papers, case records, and materials produced in the discovery processAbility to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlinesE-filing motions and other pleadings, including after‑hours filingsThorough understanding of court rules and filing requirementsExperience gathering patent documents from the USPTO databases and researching technical referencesOnline substantive research, filing, and other administrative duties, as assignedOther DutiesThis job description does not cover or contain all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
