Senior Paralegal - Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 12 months, Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor
- Perform moderately complex legal research and prepare legal documents
- Assist litigation teams in trial preparation by organizing documents and evidence
- Provide advanced automated litigation support using various software applications
- Screen for privileged documents and resolve identified issues
- Communicate with litigation teams about the status of discovery projects
- Perform docketing duties and track case filings
- Answer outside inquiries that do not require legal interpretations
Requirements:
- Two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience required
- One year of experience in automated litigation support
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
- Hands-on familiarity with computer applications including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging
- Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
Education:
- Paralegal certificate, JD, or equivalent legal training or experience
- Currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
