Jacobstown Baptist Church located in Jacobstown, NJ is a historic church that has been ministering to the surrounding community since 1767. We are a church that seeks to be formed and shaped by the word of God in all that we do, say, and think, while seeking to pass those values on to each coming generation. Our churchs purpose statement affirms the following:
We purpose to meet together to prayerfully equip and encourage believers of Jesus Christ through the preaching and teaching of Gods Word to go and share Christ faithfully while being conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ.

Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Preach and Lead Worship • Develop and deliver weekly sermons and facilitate meaningful worship experiences. • Provide devotionals for Wednesday night prayer meetings.
• Disciple and Support Members • Actively build relationships with church members to disciple, equip, support, and encourage them in their faith.
• Minister in Crisis • Serve and minister to individuals during times of crisis, offering spiritual and emotional support.
• Provide Counseling • Offer counseling support to church members as needed.
• Support Missions • Stay informed about the work of the missions committee and provide advice and encouragement.
• Perform Ceremonies • Conduct baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
Qualifications:
• Faith and Character • Demonstrate a clear love for Christ reflected in both personal life and ministry work in accordance with the Biblical qualifications for leaders.
• Education and Ordination • Preferably a college or postgraduate education, but will consider candidates that do not possess a degree.
• Experience • Meaningful pastoral experience is preferred.
• Biblical Standards • Exemplify the biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:10-11, Titus 1:5-16, and 1 Peter 5:1-2.
• Theological Communication • Show a demonstrated ability to articulate biblical theology in a clear, understandable, and applicable manner for church members.
• Leadership Skills • Be a servant leader with strong leadership abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and one with a collaborative mindset.

Job Description
The Senior Pastor will preach each week on Sundays and lead a lesson on Wednesdays. Throughout the week, the pastor will meet with members of the church and community, plan Bible studies, and oversee the finances of the church. The Senior pastor will be compensated fairly with a total pay package starting at $57,000.00, and also included in the compensation is a 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom house on the church grounds. The house has been recently renovated, and additional room in the basement level could be used as a 4th bedroom. The church itself sits on approximately 10 acres of land that is well kept by members of the church.
