Senior Patent Litigation Associate

An established firm based in Silicon Valley with over 15 years in practice is seeking a Senior Patent Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their team onsite. This Attorney will have experience with patent litigation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in litigation and advisory matters.

Salary range: $310,000-$400,000, contingent on experience. The firm pays 100% of health and dental insurance premiums for all employees and their dependents. The firm provides FSA plans for health and dependent care. The firm provides top-of-the-market maternity and family leave for associates who are new parents. The firm provides a 401(k) plan to assist employees with saving for retirement. The firm makes fully-vested contributions to the 401(k) plan.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California or eligible for admission. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience handling complex patent litigation. Candidates must have significant experience preparing and arguing motions, leading discovery strategy, and supporting trial teams. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage junior associates and coordinate with experts. Candidates must have strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Candidates must have experience with Federal Circuit appeals or PTAB proceedings, or be willing to develop expertise in those areas.

The Attorney will lead significant aspects of patent litigation matters, including supervising junior team members and managing expert and fact discovery. The Attorney will develop litigation strategy in coordination with partners and clients. The Attorney will draft and argue substantive motions and participate in hearings. The Attorney will contribute to trial preparation, including witness examination outlines, exhibits, and strategy development. The Attorney will interface directly with clients and provide guidance throughout the litigation process. For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
