Braun Intertec is seeking a Senior Pavement Engineer to support our pavement and transportation engineering services.Responsibilities Lead internal and external proposal and project teamsWrite and review engineering reports and deliverablesPrepare project scopes, budgets, and proposals for pavement-related projectsMentor EIT, Staff, and Project EngineersDevelop and maintain client relationshipsPerform a wide-range of pavement analysis and designPerform pavement thickness design calculations, development of rehabilitation strategies and recommendationsProvide recommended Superpave bituminous mixes for a variety of pavementsAssist with placement and construction recommendations related to CIR and SFDRFWD and GPR data analysis and reporting, or understanding of FWD and GPRManage subsurface investigation activities (coring and drilling)Perform soil classification and boring log preparationConduct pavement condition assessmentsConsult on network-level pavement management, budget forecasting, multi-year project planning, and lead/support research projectsPerform other job duties, as assignedQualifications Strong knowledge of pavement engineering fundamentals and state of the practiceProfessional experience with pavement design software and methods (AASHTO, MnPAVE, etc.)Knowledge of bituminous materials for mix designs, overall performance, and placement, with preferred laboratory knowledge or experience with CIR and SFDRPreferred experience with software and practices for GPR and/or FWD data collection, management, analysis, and reportingExcellent communication, report writing and customer relations skillsStrong computer skills including MS Office products, particularly ExcelAbility to work independently and support multiple projects concurrently, including client communicationSelf-starter with strong client focus and interpersonal savvyExperience Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical EngineeringMaster's degree(s) in pavements, materials, or geotechnical engineering is a plus7+ years of transportation pavement and/or geotechnical engineering experienceProfessional experience with MNDOT or other public highway agencies preferredProfessional Engineer Registration in Minnesota or the ability to obtain within 6 monthsWilling to travel (up to 25%)Ability to lift up to 30 to 50 pounds on a periodic basisValid driver license with clean driving historyAdditional Requirements Drugs free workplace: requires pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) planPTOEmployee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Paid holidaysCompensation Compensation Range: $108,000.00 - $162,000.00As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.
