The Panther Group is seeking a Senior Payroll Assistant to support a high-volume payroll operations team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident handling complex payroll transactions and employee inquiries.

***Not open to C2C or third party agencies. No Visa sponsorship for this role. Must be able to get a US Security Clearance if required***

This role offers remote flexibility (local candidates to Lakeland, FL strongly preferred) and the chance to work with a dynamic and collaborative payroll team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process U.S. payroll transactions in a high-volume environment
  • Support in-house payroll processing, including:
    • Final pay calculations
    • Retroactive pay adjustments
    • Tax balance corrections
    • Overpayments and benefit balancing
    • Deduction and arrears setup
  • Prepare and process W-2 corrections (W2c’s)
  • Respond to Tier 2 payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation for audit and tracking purposes
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and accurately
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience working in a high-volume payroll environment
  • Strong ability to respond quickly and accurately to payroll inquiries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting Tier 2 payroll inquiries
  • Experience with payroll adjustments, corrections, and compliance processes
 
Pay up to $25.36 per hour DOE
No Corp-to-Corp
