• Executeandoverseebiweeklypayrollprocessingend-to-end,maintainingdirectaccountabilityforaccuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Establishandupholdabest-in-classpayrollenvironmentthatensuresfullcompliancewithallfederal,state,and local regulations, proactively identifying and mitigating risk.
• Provideauthoritativeoversightofallpayrollcalculationsandoutputs,ensuringaccuracyandintegrityacross complex scenarios, including multi-state taxation, variable compensation, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee multi-jurisdictional (federal, state, and local) payroll tax compliance, including registrations, reconciliations, and agency correspondence.
• Leadandcontinuouslyevolvepayrolloperationstodeliverscalable,efficient,andemployee-centricoutcomes, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness.
• Functionastheorganization’ssubjectmatterexpertandstrategicadvisoronpayroll-relatedmatters,including regulatory changes, compliance exposure, and operational risk.
• Design,implement,andmaintainarobustinternalcontrolframework,ensuringauditreadiness,process transparency, and adherence to governance standards.
• Championcontinuousimprovementandoperationalexcellence,leveragingtechnology,automation,andprocess innovation to modernize payroll delivery.
• Ownpayrollsystems,dataintegrity,andvendorrelationships,ensuringoptimalperformance,scalability,and alignment with business needs.
• Drivecross-functionalalignmentwithHRandFinance,ensuringpayrollisseamlesslyintegratedinto compensation strategy, reporting, and financial operations
• CertifiedPayrollProfessional(CPP)orequivalentcertificationstronglyrequired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s or MBA a plus)
• 10+ years ofexperiencemanagingmulti-statepayrollenvironmentswithfull-cycleownership.
• Deepknowledgeofpayrollcompliance,taxregulations,andwageandhourlaws.
• Oversee multi-jurisdictional (federal, state, and local) payroll tax compliance, including registrations, reconciliations, and agency correspondence.
• Demonstratedabilitytobalancestrategicoversightwithhands-onexecution.
• Stronganalyticalacumenwithafocusonaccuracyandriskmitigation.
• Experiencewithenterprisepayrollsystemsandprocessoptimization.UKGpreferred

The salary for this role ranges from $135,000 to $155,000, depending on factors like experience, skills, and location. A discretionary bonus is also available.
