WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:Job Summary
Oversees the weekly payroll process, ensuring accurate data submission, resolving discrepancies, and managing supplemental payments while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Supervises a team of payroll specialists, providing training, and coordinating interdepartmental payroll allocations, all aimed at supporting organizational goals. Serves as a point of contact for payroll inquiries and collaborates on various internal and external projects to enhance payroll operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Processes payroll on a weekly basis including: receives and submits payroll data electronically and resolves any transmission problems, reviews payroll data for reasonableness and resolving errors, processing reimbursements, scheduling and processing supplemental payrolls and bonuses, and administers off-cycle payments.
• Ensures all time/attendance information has been captured, reviews time/attendance data for reasonableness and resolving errors, processes payroll allocations between departments, and maintains vacation and personal time records.
• Processes intercompany transfers within HRIS/Payroll System.
• Fields payroll inquiries, performs required research, and resolves discrepancies as required.
• Downloads and files management reports and initiates payment as needed.
• Processes voided payroll checks and stop payment orders.
• Reviews payroll system updates as required.
• Consults with personnel on payroll-related issues.
• Provides payroll-related training to personnel as needed.
• Supports campuses, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
• Performs actions necessary to maintain FLSA overtime regulatory requirements.
• Comply with Federal, State, and local requirements for tax and social security withholdings and other deductions, insurance, benefits, pension/retirement, 401(k) contributions and company match.
• Monitors computer reports alerting Payroll Administrators to problems or errors.
• Manages a team of payroll specialists.
• Coordinates and assists with projects internally and externally.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School / GED
Experience: 3-5 years
Licenses and Certifications
Fundamental Payroll Cert (FPC) preferred
Certified Payroll Professional Cert (CPP) preferred
Associates preferred
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
